What’s What: Bachelor parody

Bachelor parody and Star Wars Day awesomeness.  May the 4th be with you in today's What's What of Sure Shot things across the web.

Yahoo! Comedy Channel is airing Burning Love, the web series that premieres June 4th starring Ken Marino, Ben Stiller, and Kristen Bell to name a few in their parody of The Bachelor.  Though judging from the video trailer, we're still having a hard time recognizing the difference between the two....

There's some really great DIY crafts on Etsy.com.  And there are also some that have you pondering WTF???  Regretsy.com has found the most ridiculous of the Etsy crap, like this lovely cigarette lighter covered in orange poms, a candleholder that looks just like an old piece of wood, or vintage rusty nails - and you'll wonder how you too can cash in on selling the junk you might be storing in your own garage.

May 4th - Official Star Wars Day.  AKA, one of the days us geeks live for.  Flickr members are celebrating Star Wars Day by sharing photos taken just for the celebration and tagging them with starwarsday.  May 4th is also the day when you should have "the Star Wars talk" with your kids - you know, the differences between the light and dark force, keeping your kid Jar Jar Binks free, and avoiding the special editions.  And of course, the 4th is strong with our most favorite geek, 8 year old Katie Goldman, who let it be known that it's ok to be who you are and like what you like, and no one can tell you otherwise.  Go 4th and prosper!

With the sad passing of Adam Yauch, co-founding member of the Beastie Boys, goes a piece of our youths - when rap entered rock (or was it rock entering rap?) and forever changed the way we listened to music.  Rolling Stone listed Adam's best Beastie moments in a Spotify playlist just for you.  Grab the headphones and go back to the time when rebelling was done through music in a way our parents could never understand (right?), letting Adam stay immortal for just a little while longer. RIP dude.
