  • What's what

Photos that will restore your faith in humanity, a 19 year old who has a photographer's eye, and a man who gets paid to dance with the world, plus more.  It's all in our What's What of cool stuff across the web.

  • Humanity

Maybe it's just been a long week, but a collection of pictures showcasing real moments of kindness hidden in a world of unfair circumstances (like the above photo of a man giving his shoes to a homeless woman) brought a tear to my eye.

  • Where the hell is Matt?

A self-professed videogame-aholic quit his day "job" and traveled the world to dance in places around the world.  Stride, the gum company, caught his act, and offered to pay for him to do his schtick.  Now he's traveling the world to dance with anyone who requests his dance card via email.  Learn more at wherethehellismatt.com or just view his latest video of the world teaching him to dance, in return.

  • Transfiguration Wizardry

Either Hermoine (aka Emma Watson) is really Dr. Richard Dawkins, or this is a case for the Ministry of Magic.

  • Chalk art

As a promotion for Allen Solly, a clothing brand from India, photographer Abhitab Kame placed models on chalk drawings and photographed them from above.  View more at LaughingSquid.com.

  • Project 365

The thing that gets me about Alex Stoddard is that he is only 19 years old.  The next is that he only discovered photography 2 years ago and can come up with breathtaking photos like the ones for his project titled 365 - a series he mastered at age 17 of one-photograph-per-day that includes self-portraits, abstracts, and more.  Find out more at his website alexstoddard.4ormat.com.

The classics, in the Western academic tradition, refer to cultures of classical antiquity, namely the Ancient Greek and Roman cultures. The study of the classics is considered one of the cornerstones of the humanities; however, its popularity declined during the 20th century. Nevertheless, the influence of classical ideas in many humanities disciplines, such as philosophy and literature, remains strong; for example, the Gilgamesh Epic from Mesopotamia, the Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Vedas and Upanishads in India and various writings attributed to Confucius, Lao-tse and Chuang-tzu in China.;”^..
