Just under 20 years ago, Bone Thugs n Harmony were everywhere. They had just released their 2nd album in 1995, E. 1999 Eternal, including their tribute to recently deceased rapper Easy-E (who is responsible for discovering the group), “Tha Crossroads” – a song that earned them a 1997 Grammy.

Made up of rappers Layzie Bone, Flesh-n-Bone, Bizzy Bone, Krayzie Bone, and Wish Bone, the hip-hop group has performed alongside Easy-E, Notorious BIG, and 2Pac while they were alive, and is considered one the most melodic hip-hop groups of all time by MTV. They are widely known for their fast-paced lyrics, fusing them effortlessly between melody and lyrical rap. Since their start in 1991, they have eight studio released albums, one that went platinum within its first month, and their most recent release, Uni-5: The World’s Enemy, in 2010 under their own record label, BTNH Worldwide, with distribution by Warner Bros.

Bone Thugs n Harmony are coming to The Phoenix Theatre this Saturday, March 2 at 8 p.m., ending at 11 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Kicking things off for them is Mistah Fab, a smooth rapper from Oakland signed under Bay Area rap legend Mac Dre. Tickets are $35-$100.

The Phoenix Theatre is located at 201 Washington St., Petaluma. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.thephoenixtheater.com.
