The Live Musician’s Performance Center presents the Battle of the Outstanding Bands, a breast cancer benefit concert – appropriately also known as B.O.O.B.s.

On February 23rd from 4-11 p.m., the concert will feature 12 amateur bands who will compete for a panel of judges for a grand prize of a $1000 gift certificate to be able to record at the Live Musician’s recording studio. The public is invited to attend and cheer on their favorite bands, or just be introduced to some new music.

Slated to compete:

ELEPHANT
TINY PYRAMIDS
GRAVITY HILL
BROTHERS OF SIREN
CENTRAL STATION
ETHERIAL
GRACE IN THE WOODS
KINGSBOROUGH
DYSFUNKT
CHARLEY PEACH
IN JEST

A year ago, the Live Musicians Performance Center was merely a thought. The idea was to have a place where musicians and performers of all levels could rent the facility to be able to rehearse and record music. Today, the dream has been realized. The Live Musicians Co-op is now up and running, complete with a fully equipped rehearsal and recording studio, with opportunity to network and perform as well as learn more through one of their many educational workshops. They also have a 1000 SF space for events, offer music lessons, and PA systems available for rent.

Pre-sale tickets for the B.O.O.B.s are $10, and can be purchased by calling 527-8845. The Live Musician’s Co-op is located at 925 Piner Rd., Santa Rosa, next door to the RBI Batting Cages.
