Opening Friday, Jan. 25 is a raunchy comedy from Peter Farrelly, “Movie 43,” which, while not screened in advance for critics’ reviews, describes itself on its official website as “not for those easily offended.”

The film is an “outrageous new ensemble comedy starring some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Movie 43 … contains jaw-dropping, sometimes shockingly disturbing, but always entertaining intertwined storylines you’ll have to see to believe,” according to relativitymediallc.com.

If you like movies with lots of actors, the film does boast a huge cast of big names — including Kate Winslet, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber, Uma Thurman, Terrance Howard, Richard Gere, Emma Stone, Elizabeth Banks, Kristen Bell, Halle Berry, Leslie Bibb, Kate Bosworth, Gerard Butler, Kieran Culkin, Anna Faris, Chloë Grace Moretz, Jason Sudeikis, John Hodgman, Johnny Knoxville, Josh Duhamel, Justin Long, Seann William Scott, Stephen Merchant, and even Snooki from the TV show “Jersey Shore.”

“Movie 43” consists of several short sketch segments with different directors and writers that are tied together in an overall narrative. Farrelly (“There’s Something About Mary) himself directs two segments, and other directors include Brett Ratner, James Gunn and actors Banks and Griffin Dunn.

Farrelly’s segments include “The Catch,” about a blind date between Kate Winslet and Hugh Jackman.

The movie is rated R for strong pervasive crude and sexual content including dialogue, graphic nudity, language, some violence and drug use. Running time is 90 minutes.
