The 3rd annual Beer-vana: Nirvana for Beer Lovers has officially begun accepting submissions for their amateur beer brewing competition.
The event, to be held on April 6, 2013 at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Building, is open to anyone who lives in the North Bay, and entries that are not made in a commercial brewery. Amateur brews will be judged depending on their category, with medals awarded in multiple categories according to the Beer Judge Certification Program, found at www.bjcp.org. One brew will be chosen as “Best In Show” over all other brews. Not only will this grand prize winner receive the coveted handmade ceramic Beer-vana Stein trophy, their beer will also be served at beer pubs across the county.
Submission for Beer-vana will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15th at the Sonoma Community Center office, located at 276 East Napa Street, in Sonoma.
