Taking ballet where it’s never gone before, the Bad Boys of Dance fuse ballet with theater, hip-hop, tap, jazz, and gymnastics to create what they refer to as “pop-ballet”.  And this Saturday, January 26th at 8 p.m., Rasta Thomas and his crew are introducing this ballet with attitude through their show, “Rock the Ballet,” being performed live at the Wells Fargo Center.

Set against a backdrop of video projecting flashy scenes, the men of the dance perform with a soundtrack that includes U2, Michael Jackson, Prince, Queen, Coldplay, and more.  A fan favorite is their routine to Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy.”

Because, you know, they are.

Brought the the WFC by the Rodney Strong Vineyard Dance Series, admission to the show is $47.50 & $65 at the Wells Fargo Box Office.  A pre-show discussion is at 7 p.m.  More information about the show is available at www.rastathomas.com.

Wells Fargo Center for the Arts is located at 50 Mark West Springs Rd., Santa Rosa.  Info:  546-3600, wellsfargocenterarts.org
