Sebastopol Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” (John Burgess/PD)

Dec 21-23
Sebastopol Nutcracker Ballet: There are countless Nutcracker performances to see around the North Bay and beyond, and all of them are exceptional. But one that is near and dear to my heart is the one put on by the Sebastopol Ballet School, featuring young dancers who retell the story of Clara and her nutcracker as they travel through a wintery wonderland. A complimentary “Sugar Plum Party” will be before each matinee show for kids to meet the cast and enjoy sweet treats. $10-$20. Analy High School Theater. 6950 Analy Ave., Sebastopol. See site for showtimes.  sebastopolballet.com/nutcracker.htm
