On Saturday December 15th, hundreds of Santas will be taking to the streets and getting their drink on at this year’s 7th annual Santa Rosa Santa Crawl.  Anyone who has even a tiny bit of Christmas spirit is invited to don a Santa hat, red jacket, ruby bustier, elf wear, reindeer antlers, snowman attire, a sexy Mrs. Claus dress, or anything else you deem holiday related, and head out for a night of elfish mischief.  And just like in years’ past, the evening starts at 6pm at The Belvedere, and then winds down Mendocino Ave and around the downtown area at participating venues.

But this year, the event is not only about having a night on the town, it’s about giving back.  The Santa Crawl has started the Santa With a Big Heart event within an event – a chance to raise money for local charities (like SAY, The Living Room, and more).  You can still crawl for free (besides purchases), but you also have the option of donating during the crawl to help out the needy.  Donate $3 or a toy, and you get an event bracelet, rules, a crawl map, discounted meal and drink coupons at Flipside Burger (630 3rd Street), and a professional photo on the day of the crawl.

To be a part of the Santa Crawl, it’s suggested that you get there on time, but if you end up a little late just look for the giant crowd of Santas and helpers.  And bonus of the night, Pat Jordan will be playing 3 sets at Flipside Burger, so be sure to head on over there and hang out for awhile.
