Snoop Dogg coming to Petaluma

Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg will perform at 9 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Phoenix Theater, 201 Washington St., Petaluma.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday for $70 each at Ticketfly.com and the Last Record Store in Santa Rosa.

“It’s a very exciting show for the Phoenix,” said Jim Agius, co-promoter of the Petaluma concert.

“It’s kind of unbelievable that Snoop headlined the Coachella Music Festival earlier this year, and now he’ll be doing a run of small clubs. with a stop in Petaluma,” Agius said. “I’ve been told that it’s also the first time Snoop Dogg has ever played Sonoma County.”

The artist’s billing for this show is Snoop Dogg and his playlist is hip-hop, despite his announcement last summer that he would change his name to Snoop Lion and his style to reggae.
