First Annual Sonoma County Great Trivia Challenge
Can you name all the state capitals? Do you remember who won the Super Bowl in 1983? Ready to square off against teams like The Newsies (hint: it’s a Press Democrat team!), Film Noirs, Paper Cut Owies, CALQL8ERS, Thirsty Thespians, Luddites and a dozen others? Put your trivia skills to the test at the First Annual Great Sonoma Trivia Challenge in Windsor. While trivia teams square off spectators are invited to join the fun by submitting their own answers for a $5 raffle fee per question. Correct answers will be submitted for a drawing. The event supports the education programs of the Santa Rosa Symphony and 6th Street Playhouse. Rocky Horror Sistahs
Let’s do the time warp again, but this time with the drag-tastic Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. It is a journey through the weird and wonderful world of sistering told through the lens of a crazed Rocky Horror fan. The Russian River Sisters own choir will be performing songs and dances inspired by Rocky Horror live to raise funds for the Russian River Sisters and the Guerneville Community Holiday Dinner. Dress up as your favorite character and participate in one of the most fun shows West County has ever seen. Family Day El Dio de Los Muertos
Come get ready for Day of the Dead by celebrating at Sonoma County Museum’s Family Day, which will include arts and crafts activities, samples of delicious Pan de Muerto (Bread of the Dead),story telling at 11:30, a Day of the Dead altar creating demonstration by Becoming Independent, and a performance by the local children’s dance troupe, Ballet Folklorico Jazmin, at noon.
