Battle of the bars

In its 6th year, Sonoma is on the hunt for the best bar in its infamous Sonoma Bar Battle.

On Saturday, October 13, 6 p.m at the Sonoma Veterans Building, some of Sonoma’s best bartenders will be flipping and slinging them, serving them straight up, over the rocks, blended, and muddled.  The event includes an “Iron Bartender” style battle, signature cocktails and appetizers from over a dozen local participating restaurants, a silent auction, and music entertainment by Train Wreck Junction.  Don’t miss the “Glorious Gloria Ferrer Sparkling Contest”, the battle within a battle where the challenge is to make the best sparkling cocktail using Gloria Ferrer Brut.

Thus far, the participants include:

Town Square – the reigning champion for “Best Bartender”, “Fan Favorite Drink”, and “Best Booth”.

Tickets are 35 tickets purchased in advance, or $40 at the door.  All proceeds from this event go to benefit American Legion Jack London Post 489 and Native Sons of the Golden West Parlor 111.  The Sonoma Veteran’s Building is located at 126 First Street West, Sonoma.  More info at sonomabarbattle.com
