This weekend, the Spring Lake swimming lagoon transforms from the local watering hole for humans to a leash-free dogs-only water park, so grab the pups and get ready for a splashing great time!
Celebrating the end of the swim season, well-behaved dogs are invited to romp around in the swimming lagoon from 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. on October 6 & 7. The first 250 doggies for each day will receive a free flying disc from Anderson Acres Canine Guest Ranch. There will also be free treats donated by Western Farms Center. A raffle will include doggy delights like a year’s supply of dog treats, dog toys, Regional Parks’ Grateful Dead t-shurts, and more. Raffle tickets are $3 each or 4 for $10.
Due to health concerns, humans are invited to watch and play with their soggy dogs, but may not go swimming with them.
Attendance to this dog day is a requested donation of $3/dog for Regional Parks members, and $5/dog for non-members. Parking near the lagoon is free for members and $7 for non-members.
The swimming lagoon is located at 391 Violetti Rd., Santa Rosa. For more information, call Spring Lake Park at 539-8092 or visit sonoma-county.org/parks/activities.htm
Northtown Animal Hospital is the main sponsor of the event.
If you look, the flyers say Northtown presents at the top of the flyer.
