Page: 1 2 3 Next > [View as single page]It is good for the economy and it is sad to see these establishments lose business and consequently go out of business. I have spoken with many people in the community and many share similar opinion. The local police have blatantly disregarded the constitution and the peoples’ civil rights by illegally pulling them over for no reason. People are afraid to go have one or two drinks downtown and enjoy a nice dinner in fear the brutality of the local police force harassing them. I would really love to see the Press Democrat do a study and interview local bar owners, employees and the general public and see their thoughts. The local police are out of hand. They should be offering or establishing free, sober ride homes. I guarantee you if this happened, you would see a sharp spark in the local economy and its’ establishments. Until these happens, you will see a greater recession in your local communities.
