This is definitely one of our tastier weekends…  Here are our 10 favorite picks for things to do in the next 72 hours.

September 14-16
Water Magic Aqua Follies: The synchronized swim teams of Santa Rosa will pair storybook characters with graceful aquabatics in the final weekend of their annual performance.  $17/adults, $12/kids 12 and under.  Oakpark Swim and Racquet Club.  4669 Badger Rd., Santa Rosa.  For more information call 707-539-0353.

Friday, September 14
Summer send off: Bid adieu to summer in true party style as you kick back with a glass of wine for an evening with local favorites The Pat Jordan Band, known for their riffs as much as their hidden jokes. 5:30 p.m. $20. VML Winery. 4035 Westside Rd., Healdsburg. Eventbrite.com

September 14-15
KJ’s Heirloom Tomato Festival:  This is the season of the tomato, as evidenced by one of the bigger events for the delicious and flavorful orb.  New this year are the Chef tables at the Vineyard dinner on Friday, hosted by Guy Fieri and Mario Batali.  The festival on Saturday (which, by now, is sold out) includes tomato tastings, a chef competition, garden tours, wine tasting, and live music.  Kendall Jackson Winery.  5007 Fulton Rd., Santa Rosa.  kj.com/tomato-festival-tickets

Saturday, Sept 15
Marin Humane Society:  Woofstock 2012 comes in with a wag of the tail, featuring music by Petty Theft and The Whiskey Thieves.  The Adoption Center is waiving all fees for dog and cat adoptions.  There will also be a raffle, pet vendors, dog and human snacks, and more.  10 a.m. – 7 p.m.  171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato.  marinhumanesociety.org
