Pairing storybook characters with graceful aquabatics, the Redwood Empire Synchronized Swim Teams of Santa Rosa are presenting Water Magic Aqua Follies for two weekends – Sept 7-9 and Sept 14-16 at 6:30 p.m. all days.
While synchronized swimming has been generally overlooked in the world of athletics, there’s no mistaking the dedication and strength to the girls who are performing at this year’s annual event. Long periods of time under water, lifts and throws while never touching the bottom, and a seemingly endless supply of energy and elegance prove that these girls are every bit the impressive athlete. And with the timely following from the costumed water dancers of the Olympics, this year’s watershow and fundraising event is sure to draw even more attention from families looking for a visually amazing evening to attend.
Water Magic Aqua Follies will be performed all days at the Oakpark Swim and Racquet Club at 4669 Badger Rd, Santa Rosa. Admission is $17 for adults and $12 for kids 12 and under. For more information call 707-539-0353.
