Random Rab

Aubergine: Three bands perform for an irie night of reggae. Phoenix Theater: As one concert-goer proclaimed – “My mom used to go to Too $hort shows, not it’s my turn.” Too $hort, the “godfather of Bay Area hip hop” continues his 30 year music career with a tour that stops at the Phoenix. Lagunitas Brewing Company:  Sonoma County blues crusader Bill Bowker of KRSH Radio is teaming up with Lagunitas to present the first Coahoma to Sonoma County Blues Festival.  Highlighting some noteworth bands from Clarksdale, Mississippi, the program will feature Lightnin’ Malcolm and Watermelon Slim on both days, plus David Jacobs-Strain & the Crunk Mountain Boys on Aug. 19 and Coyote Slim on Aug. 20.  The festival will run from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, and 4:20 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Lagunitas, 1280 N.
