Petaluma is a long way from blues music stronghold Clarksdale, Miss., but this summer, the Lagunitas Brewing Company in Petaluma will be on the receiving end of a musical pipeline direct from Coahoma County in the Mississippi Delta.

Sonoma County blues crusader Bill Bowker of KRSH Radio is teaming up with Lagunitas to present the first Coahoma to Sonoma County Blues Festival.  The festival will run from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, and 4:20 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Lagunitas, 1280 N. McDowell Blvd., Petaluma.

The program will feature Lightnin’ Malcolm and Watermelon Slim on both days, plus David Jacobs-Strain & the Crunk Mountain Boys on Aug. 19 and Coyote Slim on Aug. 20.

The event is free but tickets will be required. On Sunday all ages are welcome, and on Monday, 21 and older.  For ticket announcements: www.krsh.com, www.lagunitas.com.
