Beso Negro plays Aubergine on Friday, June 22nd.

Check out the hot acts that will be steaming up the 707 this week:

Thurs, June 21st

Citizen Cope

This isn’t a nighttime performance, but it’s one worth attending anyway. Citizen Cope is bringing his solo acoustic brilliance to Hopmonk Tavern for a free, all-ages noon performance. The man has a way of exposing his soul amidst rich vocals and revealing lyrics, with a down south sound accompanied by his guitar. No cover. All Ages. 230 Petaluma Ave, Sebastopol. hopmonk.com

It’s the Summer Sing-Off Grand Finale at Doc Holliday’s, the final of the karaoke competition that will determine the best of the best, and winner of $500. No cover.  8pm – 1am. 138 Calistoga Rd, Santa Rosa. dochollidayssr.com

The Summer Equinox celebration at Hopmonk Tavern will be dubstepping to the hyperactive harmonic trickery of Nasty Nasty‘s produced electronica. 21+. $10. 10pm. 230 Petaluma Ave, Sebastopol. hopmonk.com

Aubergine starts off their extended weekend music line-up with three great indie bands on Thursday. The Sugar Ponies play at 8:30pm with their unique genre fustion self-described as “Altfolkcountpoprock”. At 9:30pm, Mercuryville takes the stage with some solid rock. And then White Wall wraps it up with hummable alt-indie music. $8. 755 Petaluma Ave, Sebastopol. auberginebarandcafe.com
