Deke Dickerson is still widely remembered from his days in the Dave & Deke Combo, a rockabilly band with a hillbilly attitude from the 90s, even a decade after the break-up. Several other musical side projects include his superhero infused band of “snak-rock” with Go-Nuts, and a kamikaze assortment of youth rock with Untamed Youth. Now, a self-described Roots Music Renaissance Man, Deke’s tours year-round sharing his talent and signature guitar across the United States and around the world.

But as for the rockabilly label, Deke is keeping more to his country roots.

“People love to label me rockabilly, but that’s just a small fraction of what I do,” Deke said.  His latest project is a new studio album titled ‘King of the Whole Wide World’, traveling deep into a musical journey of Americana.   “There are a couple of great rockabilly songs on the new album, but there are a lot of other styles as well, from bluegrass to Western swing to Memphis soul to doo-wop and rhythm and blue.
