Here’s what’s trending this week:

1. I think I sprained my thumbs
It was innocent enough when you downloaded Doodle Jump and Pocket God. And then you started dappling with that free version of Angry Birds just to see what the hype was all about. And now it’s become a full blown mental illness as you get your daily fix of throwing chirping birds through angry pigs in all sorts of sequences and scenarios, as well as making sure your pets are fed on Farmville. It’s not the apps that are new, but the hype is only ever-increasing as the mobile phone becomes the preferred way to game thanks to the convenience of whipping it out of your pocket while waiting in line or when the person speaking to you is boring.
2. Broderick. Broderick. Broderick….
There’s some gripes about the fact that he’s playing himself and not Beuller. And on that note, where are his trusty sidekicks Cameron and Sloane? But the mood was especially dark when people realized the 10-second clip that aired recently was not a preview of a so-called Beuller sequel. Lighten up people. It’s just another funny commercial to be aired officially on Super Bowl Sunday.

3. Gentlemint
First we told you about Pinterest. But the girly appeal of the pinning site made the dudes feel left out. Say hello to Gentlemint. Boasting that it’s a “mint for manly things”, the mustache toting website holds burly pins like Tom Selleck, bomber helmets, beer coaster tables, and silverware made of wrenches. You definitely won’t be seeing babies or wedding colors on the mint. But view with caution – this site is so manly you might just grow chest hair by looking at it.

4. Welcome to Cat Facts
A user of Reddit posted a story of her cousin who was bored and posted his number on Facebook. Soon, a service called “Cat Facts” started sending him repeated texts that were, well, cat facts. But when he tried to make them stop, it only became more frequent – and impossible to quit. The giggle-inducing cat chat quickly became one of the most popular stories circling the web. And plenty more are actually trying to get subscribed to the meowing service.

5. Muppets fight back
Back in December, Eric Bolling of Fox Business interviewed Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center, who accused the Muppets of being prejudiced against oil companies and pushing an “anti-corporate message” in their latest movie’s fight against an oil tycoon. “It’s amazing how far the Left will go just to stoop to manipulate your kids to give them the anti-corporate message….the only thing green up on that screen should be Kermit the Frog,” Gainor said incredulously. But the Muppets fought back with their own argument against these accusations. “If we had trouble with the oil companies,” Kermit the Frog began in a recent news conference, “why would we have spent the entire film driving around in a gas-guzzling Rolls Royce?” Miss Piggy offered her two cents as well. “It’s almost as laughable as accusing Fox News of, you know, being news.”
And even though What’s What is usually only FIVE awesome things circling the web, this one HAD TO MAKE IT IN…
6. Sobbing over Sloths
Adorable Kristen Bell relives the moment her boyfriend surprises her with a birthday sloth on Ellen’s TV show. Possibly the funniest thing you have ever seen. I’m still crying.
