Kids will have a rare chance to see Sonoma County from an airplane for free Saturday (October 15), and adults can ride in a copter or plane at a price not sky-high. The event is an open house at Sonoma Jet Center at the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport. Pilots will take up kids 8-17 in the EAA Young Eagles Rides from 8:30am-12:30pm. Reservations are strongly suggested by emailing SherYoungEagles@aol.com.
Along with air events, the open house will feature introductory flight lessons, aircraft displays, a classic car display. several contests, door prizes, a bounce house, and several informative workshops. A hot dog lunch will be available for $5 to support the Pacific Coast Air Museum.
The Sonoma Jet Center is located at 6000 Flightline Dr in Santa Rosa. For more information, call (707) 523-2800 or visit their website at www.sonomajetcenter.com.
